WE EUROPE, the biggest online jazz concert, is coming soon

Written by on May 14, 2021

Already on Friday, 21st May a dozen or so artists will give the largest online concert in the Old Continent’s history, called “We Europe”. The event called WE EUROPE will consist of 10 live concerts from 10 European countries. All of them will be available for free at: WeEurope.art, starting from 8 p.m.

The „We Europe” concert will be the largest jazz music concert in the Old Continent. Jazz music concert organisers from all over Europe have worked together to make this project a reality.

Music from 10 European countries and… Canada

Krzysztof Kobyliński will perform in Jazovia in Gliwice, where the Palm Jazz Festival takes place every year, followed by the duo Szymon Klima and Dominik Wania. In Prešov, Slovakia, David Kollar will play a duo with Tomáš Mutina at a concert organised by the makers of the Hevhetia Košice Festival. In Brno, Czech Republic, famous for the Ponava Fest, the Jakub Mizeracki Trio will perform. In the Austrian Diersbach Chanda Rule & Sweet Emma Band (Inntoene Jazz Festival) will play. In Milan Lorenzo de Finti Quartet (Rosetum Jazz Festival) will perform and from the Dutch Tilburg we will listen to Paul van Kemenade (Stranger Than Paranoia Jazz Festival). From Nuremberg Izabella Effenberg will be heard, while in Vilnus Shinkarenko Jazz 4N (Nida Jazz Festival) and in London Alina Bzhezhinska (Vortex Jazz Club)will resound. The eleventh concert will be given by the Jacques Seguin Group in Montreal, Canada as a part of the Polish-Canadian partnership (Jazz Crossing Festival).

We Europe – music without borders to mark the end of the pandemic

The artists were united by the hope that the coronavirus pandemic is about to end. “After the last global pandemic the jazz music scene, artistic life in general and the economy had flourished. We are convinced that this time a spring revival is also imminent. With this hope in mind we would like to invite you to the ‘We Europe’ concert“, says Krzysztof Kobyliński, a charismatic pianist and composer from Gliwice and the initiator of the concert “We Europe”.

All concerts organised as part of the „We Europe” project can be viewed online free of charge at WeEurope.art and on Facebook.com/WeEuropeArt in the Events section.
