Jazzabell was formed in February 2008 as a combination of two excellent musicians Vlad Mužak (bass) and Matej Lazár (keyboards). It is interesting that they were both from opposite age camps – Vlado was then forty-six and Mato was twenty-two years old. A year later, after searching and experimenting, the trio set up with drummer Tom Beneš. In this line-up, the band finally got the right, typical and unmistakable sound, groove, as well as the musical and visual form that still characterizes this group.
Filip Molčányi, an alto saxophone and clarinet player, also performs with Jazzabell for a little over a year. Jazzabell is “at home” mainly on the club scene, but her participation at the Jazz Rock Festival in Prešov or at the POKE Festival was also successful.
In 2014 – five years after its creation, they released their debut album of the same name, Jazzabell, published by Hevhetia.
