Description
A special album by a composer of contemporary unconventional music, in which the composition & comprovisation methods and the field sound-art recordings of various environments (the Adriatic Sea, the Piešťany Park, New Synagogue in Žilina, dilapidated sugar factory in Rimavská Sobota, etc.) are dialogically combined. Some of the pieces are freely inspired by the specific musical or intermedia works of Milan Adamčiak, Július Koller, La Monte Young and Marián Varga. The compositions are performed by his ensembles Hypianosis+, thEoRy Of Shake and invited guests such as Manja Ristić, Mikoláš Chadima, David Kollar, Gabriela Vermelho, Jan Kavan , Peter Katina, Petr Nikl, Samo Smetana.
Field recordings, a kind of “sound photographs”, became an organic part of Fujak´s musical thinking in the creation of uniquely flowing transparent sculptures, carrying within them a trace of kairos, of something existentially valuable, often hidden in what we tend to miss in our everyday life.
“Transparent Sculptures at first listening, even without knowing the contexts, sound like a monolithic ambient purgation, (… and) de facto quite a varied mixture, but together it seems extremely homogeneous, and it works. I find such a strong creative force here that I would see it more like an album of the year than just of the month.”Petr Slabý(From the full version of the review in UNI 1/2023, rubric Album of the month)
